BIO

Apolonia Panagopoulos is a photographer working primarily in 35mm and digital using analog lenses. She is also a filmmaker, zine maker, and recovering video editor. She earned her Masters in Film and Video at CalArts, and BA and BFA from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston; she also studied at the Slade School of Art at University College, London. A New England transplant, she has lived and worked in the Los Angeles area for over 20 years. She is married to a comic book writer and together they parent an 11 year old multidisciplinary artist. 


Artist’s Statement

I am mostly a collector of images, small moments, and everyday life. I use photography as a medium to explore quiet narratives and direct attention to that which might be overlooked.
